Legacy

Last month, I attended a funeral of a woman whose life was profound, selfless, loving and giving. I only knew her a handful of years, but from what I experienced, I was blessed with knowing an amazing woman. Attending a funeral/memorial service for anyone, always gets me thinking “what have I done with my life?” I know, it’s selfish, especially since I should be focusing on the person who just passed. And I do, trust me. But usually after the service, a few days later, I stop to think and try to answer that question. It’s a great exercise I need to practice more often [and, not because someone passes away]. I know the answers will change, but that question will always be there. It’s also great time to reflect, consider, and hopefully act on.

Since I do have time and I’m still breathing, I’m going to answer that question, but not tonight. I will continue this post soon.

In the meantime, I will ask:  What have you done? What are you planning to do? If you haven’t, what’s stopping you?
