Shoegaze Music and Salad Days

Shoegaze music – those dreamy swirly guitars always brings me back to my days in California…my salad days
i miss those days.

Instead of listening to the airplanes late at *night, I would loop “Lazy Calm” by the Cocteau Twins…until I fell asleep.
i had one of those remote controlled cd players [great invention].

Don’t get me wrong, I love where I am now…no longer single and wanting.
But, sometimes I internally cry because it’s the past and you can never duplicate those feelings; those longings.
Sure, some days were painful, but in those days I found refuge in seeking creativity. Maybe that’s what it is; I find I long for that same creative energy again.

Maybe I need to listen to more shoegaze again [because I certainly don’t want to be in “pain”, if I can help that].

My faves of the time were The Autumns and Cocteau Twins and Slowdive.

Now listening to: Dream Koala…so minimalist yet poignant. Kind of like a 1 or 2 color print job.
So many correlations…#designnerdtalkingnow
It is TRULY time to go to bed now.

[*poorly made decision of not checking out apartment during the evening, BEFORE signing the contract]

Thanks for reading; tip of the day = try to listen to fast music, if you’re sleepy…
