Working Class Creatives – are you signed up? For more info, visit CharlestonParliament.com

Brief synopsis below [from their website]:

If you’re a creative professional living and working in the Charleston region, Parliament represents you. And by creative professional, we mean architects, urban planners, graphic designers, historic preservationists, chefs, farmers, writers, software programmers, filmmakers, editors, performing artists, publishers, art directors, web designers, visual artists… you get the idea.

And since Charleston is already home to many, many individuals and organizations in a wide diversity of creative endeavors, Parliament tries to celebrate, connect and support members of the creative community – with events like Pecha Kucha, for example, an informal, idea-sharing meet-up for creative professionals held quarterly at different venues around the area.

Parliament represents people with creative skills, making marketable products, whose value lies in their intellectual or cultural properties. It’s informal, it’s volunteer, and it’s inclusive, so anyone can get involved and contribute.
